Asphalt Paving
Find the Right Solution
With 25+ years of experience under our belt, we know how to identify your needs and meet them. We’ll work with you to determine the most effective and affordable solution to your problem so your paved surface lasts for years to come.
Types of Asphalt Paving
Overlay & Resurfacing
Overlay and resurfacing allow you to maximize the lifespan of your paved surface on a budget by bringing life back to old asphalt and installing a new top layer for maximum durability.
Expansion & New Paving
From parking lot construction to roadway repairs and specialized expansions, we’re the provider you can trust to exceed your expectations while honoring your budget and timeline.
Reclamation & Repaving
Resurfacing your existing pavement isn’t always the best solution. Reclamation and repaving services might be necessary to restore its functionality. We have the skills and resources required to remove the damaged pavement and put a new one in its place.
Why a Surface Might Need Repaving
Repairs aren’t always the answer to damaged pavement. If severe damage has occurred, a new pavement should be installed. The extent of the damage will help you choose between a basic resurfacing or a total replacement, including subgrade reconstruction. We’ll perform a core test to measure the existing subgrade’s condition.
Here are a few reasons why you might need to repave your pavement.
- Enhance the pavement’s aesthetics
- Fix drainage issues
- Increase your property's market value
- Create a safe and secure environment
The Paving Process at a Glance
These are the steps we take during each pavement project.
We evaluate the existing pavement, install a new base layer, and take any other preliminary steps.
We install catch basins and use specialized tools to build a functional drainage system to protect the new pavement from water damage.
We apply the fresh asphalt layer.
We roll and compact the new layer to produce a smooth surface.
We apply markings, install signage, and take other final steps to achieve the desired final product.
Causes of Asphalt Deterioration
The condition of the subgrade beneath the surface determines the quality and longevity of the pavement above. If the subgrade contains harmful materials, is too thin, or isn’t prepared properly during installation, it can cause the pavement to deteriorate over time.
Other factors that can cause your pavement to deteriorate include:
- Concerns related to the weight and load-bearing capacity of traffic
- Poor water drainage systems
- Oil and gas stains left by vehicles
- A lack of routine maintenance
- Sudden weather fluctuations, including natural ground movements and freezing and thawing cycles
How to Maximize Asphalt Longevity
Preventative maintenance is essential to protect your paved surfaces so they last as long as possible.
The best way to maximize the lifespan of your paved surface and reduce repair and replacement costs is to take care of it. We offer annual maintenance plans to make routine maintenance easier than ever.
